Happy Fourth of July! It’s Tuesday, which means it's time for Tuesday’s Trends!
The first Tuesday Trend is about a singer getting ready to release new music and leaving subtle hints throughout their social media. Demi Lovato has been dropping hints of D6 (her new album name until the name is announced) and the singles that will be on it. Demi tweeted at the end of May that she knew her first single and that it was for her haters.
After collaborating on songs like “No Promises” and “Instructions,” Demi is ready to release her 6th album. On her social media, she posted three separate pictures spelling “SNS.” Her website has also been updated to only show “SNS” and a link to sign up for updates.
Because I am a huge Demi fan, I did some research into the meaning of SNS. During the video shoot for SNS, Snapchat and Instagram flooded with stories from the set of the video. In one of the videos, there were balloons that spelled out "Sorry Not Sorry." I believe SNS stands for “Sorry Not Sorry,” due to the music video and the tweet about the song being about her haters.
The song has not release date but is rumored to be in late summer or early fall.
I also have two videos to share with you as my videos of the week. Both are cover songs, but so good I couldn’t chose just one!
The first is William Singe covering Wild Thoughts X Maria Maria. William is an Australian singer, songwrite and producer. He is most famous for his YouTube covers but started his career with a boy band called The Collective. Check out his cover below:
The next cover is one of my favorites! Ashely Tisdale and Debby Ryan released a cover of Say My Name. Both of them grew up on the TV show "Suite Life on Deck," but have since ventured off to other successful careers. Ashley Tisdale created her own line of make-up Illuminate and is rumored to producing a new album. After leaving Disney Channel, Debby Ryan created a band called The Never Ending, which toured with Fifth Harmony in 2015. She has dipped her toes back into acting and has a few shows lined up on Netflix. The two bring back so many memories of when I was younger and I love the cover of this song! Listen below and tell me what you think:
Hey! My name is Ana Ginter! I am a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin La Crosse. In college, I started my own radio show called Fearless Radio, where I played new music and new artist every week. I missed the show so much that I decided to take it with me with this blog! I love everything about music and hope to work in the industry one day! I love all genres of music and I am open to hearing any suggestion given to me! A few of my favorite things besides music include The Ellen Show, guitars and cats!
